In what turned out to be the game of the round, the Firebirds won an epic contest in Porirua on Monday night between two sides eager to figure in this year's finals action.
The 58-56 result keeps the Firebirds unbeaten start to the season in tact while for the Pulse, it was their second narrow defeat against an Australian side.
