The Egypt Junior Open in Cairo will be held during the Easter holidays from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th April 2009. Players from five continents (Latin America, North America, Asia, Europe and Africa) will compete in Singles, Doubles and Team events.
Today the draw brought the following Team matches for tomorrow’s team event played in a knock-out system.

Players of the 2009 ITTF World Hopes Team Selected
Twelve athletes together with their coaches will be offered the opportunity to participate in activities designed for the ITTF World Hopes Team 2009. The selected players will receive support of the ITTF for training camps among others in China, France and in Falkenberg, Sweden, where five times World Champion Peter KARLSSON will have the lead of the camp.
ITTF Education Director Mikael ANDERSSON about the selection: “The ITTF is proud of the response generated by the ITTF World Hopes Team project powered by Butterfly. It is our belief that the attention and response that this project has received, will help strengthen our sport and promote table tennis on the global scene.”
