African girls competing for tickets to the Volleyball Girls World Championship in Turkey
A trio of north African teams will be competing for tickets to this year's FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championship when the Girls' Youth African Nations Championship begins in Cairo on Thursday.
Tunisia will be defending their crown against the hosts and runners-up last time, Egypt, and an emerging Algeria side. The top two teams will travel to Turkey from August 12-21 for the World Championship.
A technical meeting will take place on Wednesday ahead of the start of the tournament in the Egyptian capital, which runs from Thursday to Sunday.
