LOS ANGELES (August 6, 2009) – On September 6, the third and final event of the Supergirl Jam series will take place at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. The Supergirl Jam is the action sports industry’s only large-scale, all-girls, competition and lifestyle festival and features more than 100 of the top female pros in snowboarding, surfing, inline skating and skateboarding.
As clarification to a previously released announcement, the skateboarding contest in Venice Beach will be held on temporary mobile ramps built specifically for use during the Supergirl Jam and not on the new permanent Venice Beach skatepark. To showcase the ladies’ skateboarding street skills, ASA Entertainment, producer of the Supergirl Jam, will supply the same custom-built skateboard street elements used at the Action Sports World Championships.
