2012 World Pentathlon Championships - Rome--Asdauskaite Shines in Group B
2 Hungarians (Adrienn Toth & Leila Gyenesei), 2 British (Heather Fell & Mhairi Spence) and 2 Germans (Annika Schleu & Janinie Kohlmann) were successful in marking the top 12 in group B and will now have one eye on gold on Saturday.
The most impressive performer from the 2nd group of the day was Laura Asadauskaite (LTU). The World #2, fenced the best she has in years winning the group. Then a traditionally strong combined event, saw her leave the rest of the group in her wake.
Aya Medany (EGY) looks like she has shook off the injury that ruled her out of World Cup #3 & #4 with a commanding performance in the strong Rome sun today.
