The third women’s only and final event on the 2012 FIVB Beach Volleyball SWATCH World Tour was held this past week with $190,000 Bangsaen Thailand Open powered by PTT in Bangsaen, Thailand.
Jennifer Kessy and April Ross of the United States won their first FIVB SWATCH World Tour event of 2012 and their 10th overall together defeating Ekaterina Khomyakova and Evgeniya Ukolova of Russia, 21-17 and 21-19.
The Russian duo were playing in their fourth consecutive World Tour final four, with a gold, silver, bronze and 4th place finish. Brazil’s Juliana Felisberta and Larissa Franca were declared the 2012 Points Champions just before the event when China’s Chen Xue and Xi Zhang chose not to enter the tournament in Thailand.
