The three best ranked teams of each group qualified for the play-off matches (qualification phase 2) taking place on 31 May/1 June 2008 and 7/8 June 2008).
The teams proceeding to the play-offs are: 􀂾 from group 1: LTU, ISL and BLR 􀂾 from group 2: SVK, MNE and POR 􀂾 from group 3: CZE, TUR and ITA
The draw for this play-offs will be carried out on Saturday 26 January 2008 on the occasion of the 2008 Men's EURO final weekend in Lillehammer, Norway, (venue: Officials Hotel “Radisson SAS”) after the completion of the 9th Extraordinary EHF Congress 2008 at 12:00 hrs. More details regarding the draw will be provided accordingly.
