2008 British Women’s Gymnastics Team Championships

Last year, Nottingham Gym Club won the Team title for the first time in their history, leaving the mighty Liverpool and quickly progressing Huntingdon in second and third place respectively. The defending Champions from Notts will rely on the strength and the experience of Beckie Downie and Laura Jones (1st and 2nd individual achievers last year), supported by younger teammates Jordan Lipton, Niamh Rippin and Ruby Straw.

The names of Marissa King, Kayleigh Cooke, Emma White and Toru Simpson draw the attention in Huntingdon’s ranks, as does the strong composition of the Heathrow A Team, 12 times British Champions in the past, with Rebecca Wing, Danusia Francis, Nicole Hibbert and Laura Mitchell.
