England Netball is delighted to announce the squad selected for a tour of Australia in May as part of the preparation and build up to this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
The team will head Down Under to play against state sides as well as practice against teams from the Australian Netball League (ANL) and the ANZ.
This will provide an opportunity to experience playing against a different style and intensity of competition, while allowing players the chance to shine ahead of the long squad selection for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
The squad selected to travel to Australia is as follows;
Sara Bayman (Captain), Stacey Francis (vice-captain), Serena Guthrie (vice-captain), Rosie Allison (subject to availability), Sam Cook, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Jodie Gibson, Helen Housby, Lindsay Keable, Laura Malcolm, Hannah Reid, Mia Ritchie
The reserves selected for the tour to Australia are as follows;
Beth Cobden, Emma Dovey, Sophie Hankin, Alice Travis
Due to individual performance plans and training priorities, the decision has been made with Pamela Cookey for her not to travel with the England Squad on the May tour to Australia. During this time Pamela will continue to train towards her performance targets and the Commonwealth Games.
