World champs break mental sweat at "Book Biennial"

FIVB Beach Volleyball world champions, Brazil’s Juliana Felisberta and Larissa França, took time out of their preparations for the last event on the 2011 FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour calendar and the second half of the Brazilian Banco do Brasil Beach Volleyball Tour and to meet fans at the “Book Biennial” in Rio de Janeiro on Monday.

The event was held as part of VivaVolei, the Brazilian Volleyball Federations social program. “Book Biennial” is a traditional book fair in Rio de Janeiro, and the duo, who are also five-time FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour champions, signed autographs and took photos with 45 fans from the Sao Joao de Meriti center.

“I am very glad as this is my first visit to a huge literary event like this,” Juliana, who is also a FIVB Hero, said. “I love children and being among them is always positive, as they have a real pure energy. It was wonderful to share our history and show them it is still possible to dream.”

And the feeling was mutual as the youngsters flocked to meet the two beach volleyball icons.

“This is the second time I can meet them and once again it was really nice,” 11-year old Ana Carla Soares said.

Juliana and Larissa will be looking to add a sixth World Tour title to their record and complete a memorable season. They can tie-up the crown in the final event of the year, in Phuket, Thailand from November 1 to 6.
