Russia's Kazan capture Women's Club World championship in style

Russia added a new title to their golden list after their champions Dinamo Kazan claimed the eighth Women's club World Championship title following their thrilling win over Brazil's Molico/Osasco in straight sets 25-11, 25-16, 27-25 in the final of the competition at Saalsporthalle in Zurich, Switzerland on Sunday.

 This is the first gold medal for Kazan and their country Russia in the history of the Women's club championship to add their name to the golden list, but it is the second gold medal for the European country in 24 hours after Belogorie Belgorod claimed the Men's Club World Championship title in Brazil early on Saturday.

 Russia's big gun Ekaterina Gamova added one more glory to her personal achievements winning the competition Most Valuable player "MVP" award after her great performance throughout the competition beside being the best opposite spiker in the competition golden team to gain 2 of the Individual awards.

 Russia's Dinamo Kazan captured their first ever title at the eighth Women's club World Championship in Zurich following their thrilling win over Brazil's Molico/Osasco in straight sets 25-11, 25-16, 27-25 in the final of the competition.
 
 The competition star Ekaterina Gamova led the match scorers with 24 points including 3 killing blocks and 2 Aces followed by Larson-Burbach Jordan 14 points. Middle blocker Thaisa Menezes led Molico's scorers with 10 points followed by Sanja Malagurski 7 points.

 What made the victory easy for the Russians was the side difference in Blocking as they had 16-2 advantage 16-2 in this skill.

The Brazilians had no answers to the solid game of their opponents. Kazan only allowed a few attacking manoeuvres as they covered all attacking points at the net and on the floor.

Bronze medal
SESI-SP (BRA) beat Volero Zurich (SUI) 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-13)

Zurich, Switzerland, May 11, 2014- Brazil's SESI-SP fought bravely for 124 minutes to overcome host Volero Zurich of Switzerland and win 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-13) to capture the Bronze medal during the third place match of the 2014 FIVB Women's Club World Championship at Saalsporthalle in Zurich, Switzerland on Sunday.

 After the match FIVB President Dr Ary Graca honoured Volero's captain Mira Golubovic who announced her retirement with the FIVB prize in acknowledgment of her 22 years in volleyball field.

 Behind the offense was Ivna Marra, who led her team players in the game with 20 points, followed by Fabiana Claudino 18 points. From the loser side Volero's scoring machine Kenia Carcaces had impressive 22 points to lead also the match scorers followed by the opposite Olesia Rykhliuk 17 points.
