England's Dominique Lloyd-Walter justified her top-billing in the Women's Wells & Young Wimbledon Cup by lifting the WISPA World Tour Tour 4 squash trophy at Wimbledon Rackets & Fitness in London.
But after reaching the final without dropping a game, the 29-year-old former world No18 from Guildford was taken to four games by rapidly-improving teenager Emily Whitlock, the fourth seed.
Whitlock, the 17-year-old English Junior U19 champion from Colwyn Bay, celebrated her maiden appearance in a Tour final after beating France's 24-year-old Celia Allamargot in the previous round.
But Lloyd-Walter had to call upon all her experience to overcome the youngster 11-4, 11-5, 5-11, 11-8 to earn her second Tour title of the year - and the eighth of her career.
