The GB&I international from Brokenhurst Manor had 15 birdies in her two rounds and was nine-under par at the end of the day’s play. Liz had eight birdies in her morning round and seven in the afternoon.
Her closest rival was Vagliano Trophy and Hampshire colleague, Kerry Smith of Waterlooville, who shot 75, 69. In third place was Emma Lyons (West Surrey) 75, 72; followed by Jenny Pease (Braintree) 73, 75 and Laura Cutler (Warley Park) 72, 77. The CSS was 73 for both rounds.
