All our contributors work for free, so if there is sometimes a news item that has not been covered we do apologise but if promotion in the women's sports sector was better WSR could be a full time paid occupation for many of us in our team. We do this because we enjoy it and we have passion for it, and we work our other jobs very much around it.
We have every right to be upset by the recent choices in the sports personality of the year awards, but like it has been said time and time again without the right promotion the public don't know or recognise our women as their faces are not put out there on newspapers, magazine or the TV. This has to change but will it ever happen? I hope that WSR does it's little bit to help.
