World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association South Coast Classic preview

Mother-of-one Evans, 22, lines up with Ronnie O’Sullivan’s cousin Maria Catalano and East Anglian champion Katie Henrick for the fourth WLBSA ranking event of the season, at the Q Ball SC.

Keen to beat Kelly Fisher’s record 69 straight wins, Evans, who clinched a second IBSF World Ladies title in Thailand last November, is honing her skills against the men on the EASB Pro-Ticket Tour.

Catalano, 25, will be aiming to repeat her British Open success at Rushden last November.

Martina Lumsden hopes to take advantage of home territory.

Jane O’Neill (Spain), Sue Selby (Haywards Heath) and Maureen Twomey (Devon) return to the circuit for the first time this season.

Derbyshire youngsters Hannah Jones, 11, Joanne Davies, 15, and sisters Georgina, 15, and Charlotte Holloway, 14, complete a 23-strong field.
