Australia’s World Netball Champions will be back in action for the first time since clinching the title when they meet the Silver Ferns in a two-Test duel in New Zealand this September.
After suffering a heart-breaking loss in the World Championship Final, the Silver Ferns will be desperate to get an early upper hand on Australia before they head across the Tasman for a further two Test matches in October.
Australia will play the Silver Ferns in the New World International Netball Series on September 17 in Christchurch and September 20 in Auckland, the first leg of its International Program for 2008 that will also feature the Holden Netball Test Series on home soil in October.
Following some big name retirements after the World Championships in Liz Ellis, Selina Gilsenan and Laura von Bertouch, selecting the new-look Australian team for this series will provide an exciting challenge for Australian coach Norma Plummer.
