 As exotic water-sport event locations go, the world's largest floating stage in Marina Bay on the Equator in downtown Singapore is about as good as its gets. The city's famous Floating Platform can hold 9,000 people and is overlooked by a Grand Stand with additional seating for 30,000.

 From the outset, the objective of the Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup series was to bring the best athletes in the world to spectacular downtown locations for public enjoyment. This year, the Singapore Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (SWWF), will host the 24th Stop of the series. They have organized one of the most exciting and unique venues to date. It is known as the Marina Bay Floating Stadium in downtown Singapore.

 Flights carrying Wakeboard World Cup Riders are now arriving in Cairo, Egypt, from the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Korea, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, China and of course Egypt.

 Having successfully completed the first Waterski Stop of the 2008 Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup series in Dubna, Russia last week, the event now moves on to the first 2008 Wakeboard Stop ever staged in Egypt.

 With a total of 21 Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup Stops already completed, competition for places in the 2008 starting list is at an all time high.
