USA Wraps Up Outstanding Games
The U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboarding Team wrapped up the 2010 Olympic Winter Games on Sunday with 17 U.S. athletes combining to win 21 medals, including six gold, over the course of 16 days of competition.

Randall Leads U.S. in Relay
Norway’s Marit Bjoergen pulled well ahead of the Italian team to coast to her third gold of these Games in the women’s 4x5K relay on Thursday. Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) led the U.S. Ski Team into 12th place, with the sprint specialist gritting out a fourth-place first leg.

Schleper leads US in Slalom
Germanys Maria Riesch won her second gold of these Games in Fridays slalom, with Sarah Schleper (Vail, CO) leading the U.S. in 16th. Lindsey Vonn (Vail) straddled a gate on the first run and didnt finish, yet was happy to close the Games with a gold in the downhill and bronze in super G.

Netherlands Takes Home PGS Gold
The Netherlands Nicolien Sauerbreij won gold in ladies parallel giant slalom Friday, beating Russias Ekaterina Ilyukhina in the final. Michelle Gorgone (Boston) finished 14th after losing in the first round on a late charge from Ilyukhina.
