INDIANAPOLIS – Teresa Vaill posted a commanding victory Sunday at the 2010 USA Track & Field 30 Kilometer Race Walk Championships at Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, New York.
2004 Olympian Teresa Vaill won the 2010 USA One-Hour Race Walk title on October 3 in Waltham, Mass., and was the overall winner again Sunday in easily capturing the women’s 2010 USA 30 km crown.
Vaill crossed the finish line in 2:31:30 in posting the fastest time of the day by anyone. While en route to the finish line Vaill posted pending 25 km and 30 km U.S. records in the W45-59 masters age group.
Maria Michta finished as the runner-up in the women’s race in 2:39:35, with Solomiya Login finishing third in 2:44:51 and Rebecca Benjamin placing fourth in 3:09:26.
Debbie Topham finished fifth overall and won the W55-59 masters age group with her time of 3:15:54. Other masters winners included Darlene Bucklund (W65 – 3:42:52) and Maryanne Harvey (W50 – 4:08:04).
