Sarah Mason Confirmed Full Time On 2012 ASP Women's World Tour
Sarah Mason has received confirmation this week that she is now full time on the 2012 ASP Women's World Tour after Silvana Lima of Brasil withdrew from the tour due to injury,
"I was really stoked to get the email from Silvana telling me that I will have a full year on tour as I can now prepare myself for the remaining comps" said Mason.
Mason has all ready surfed in the first 4 events of the year as the tour's alternate surfer and having started the year as a 16 year old she is the youngest ever surfer to qualify for the ASP World Tour.
After the first 4 events Mason is sitting in 13th place on the ratings and
will need to post strong results in the final 3 events of the year if she wishes to finish in the top 10 and claim a spot on the 2013 tour,
"I've been training lots, getting my fitness up, everything is booked for Brazil and I'm ready to go" Mason said of the upcoming challenge.
Mason's best results in 2012 are a 5th at the Rip Curl Pro at Bells and a 9th at the Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks.
