In a well-filled hall of Brussels Expo, the Romanian team won the European title. In an exciting final, they took the first place. Belgium won two places in comparison with the qualifications and ended 6th.
From the beginning of the final, there was a strong competition between Russia and Romania. Both teams fell of the beam. Eventually, the battle settled during the last rotation. Among the loud sheers of the audience, the gymnasts performed at their best on the last apparatus. The many Romanian supporters were ecstatic with their team at the first place.
The other countries made to much mistakes to compete with the top 2. Italy performed stable exercises and ended 3th place. The overall level of the competition was very high. All gymnasts did the best they could for their team.
