Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond picked up their first title of 2012 on Sunday and fifth of their almost year-old partnership by beating Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Petra Martic, 76(3) 61, in the Open GDF SUEZ final.
Huber and Raymond's other four titles together came last year at Toronto, the US Open, Tokyo and the WTA Championships. It was not a completely smooth path to victory this week, though, for the top-seeded Americans, as they were extended to a match tie-break in their opener and then in the final had to fight back from a 5-3 first set deficit and a set point at 5-4.
