GB crews find pace on a breezy day one of the ISAF Sailing World Cup series event in Palma
In the 470 women's event, Penny Clark and Katrina Hughes had a steady start with 3,5 to put them in third overall, with Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark enjoying mixed fortunes in the windiest conditions they have sailed in since joining forces in February. They posted 31,4 for the day and are in 14thoverall, with development squad duo Sophie Weguelin and Sophie Ainsworth in eighth.
Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Kate Macgregor won three out of their four opening round robin group bouts in the Elliot 6m women's match racing event, losing at the hands of Kiwi skipper Stephanie Hazard, while in the 2.4mR Paralympic class Megan Pascoe is the leading GBR sailor in third overall, with Helena Lucas fifth.
Racing at the Princess Sofia Trophy will start on Monday 4 April and continue through until Saturday 9 April.
