Faulkner wins second medal of World Cup

Great Britain's Ellie Faulkner won her second medal of the FINA World
Cup (25m Short course) in Stockholm with a strong performance in the
Women's 400m Freestyle.



The teenager finished in a new personal best time of 4:04.13 to take the
bronze. Angie Bainbridge of Australia won gold in 4:03.02 while Sweden's
Sarah Sjostrom took the silver in 4:03.60. Britain's Rebecca Turner
finished just outside the medals in fourth in a personal best 4:10.81.



British Gas GBR Swimming team mate Matthew Johnson missed out on a medal
in the Men's 1500m Freestyle by just 2/100s of a second as he posted a
new best time of 15:13.21 for a fourth place finish. Pal Joensen of the
Faroe Islands took the gold in 14:52,00, silver went to Stefan Sorak in
15:06.57 while Marcos Oliveira of Brazil took bronze in 15:13.19.
Britain's Thomas Sunter finished fifth  in 15:13.39.



Other British finalists on the final day in Stockholm included Lucy
Spencer who placed fifth in the Women's 400m Individual Medley (IM) in a
best time of 4:40.03, David Gregory finished sixth in the Men's 200m
Backstroke in a best time of 1:58.35 while Lewis Coleman was seventh in
the Men's 200m Freestyle in 1:49.45. Coleman also went in the Men's 200m
IM and finished eighth in 2:02.08 while Braxton Timm was eighth in the
Men's 100m Butterfly in 53.73

Swimming team are:
