Australian Bowls-NSW Open update

In the women's draw, World Championship gold medallist Julie Keegan continues to firm as the player to beat after recently being recalled to national duties, advancing to the quarter-finals courtesy of a hard-fought 4-8, 11-7, 4-0 victory over reigning NSW singles champion of champion Jan Agar.

Keegan will now face Australian teammate Natasha Van Eldik in her quarter-final bout tomorrow (19/9) afternoon, with fellow Australian representatives Claire Duke and Anne Johns also remaining in contention.

Other quarter-finalists include Echuca's Melissa Larcombe, Lara's Joan Tennent, St Johns Park's Maryann Parcell and Cabramatta's Arleen Jeffery.
