Walsh nets winner after Bartlett double for GB

England and Great Britain captain Kate Walsh scored Great Britain's third, adding to two goals from her clubmate, Reading’s Laura Bartlett as Great Britain’s women’s team ran out 3-2 winners over their American hosts in the second match of the five match series in San Diego on Wednesday.

Having had Tuesday’s match postponed as the result of a flooded pitch, Great Britain came out on top in a hard fought victory that saw 22 year old Canterbury defender Dilly Newton make her senior international debut.

The win means that Great Britain have won their opening two matches of the five match series.  Game three takes place at 21:00 GMT (13:00 local) on Thursday.  Friday is a rest day before back to back matches at 19:00 GMT (11:00 local) on Saturday and Sunday.
