Vixens assistant coach appointed 21/U Australian coach


Melbourne Vixens assistant coach Carol Byers has been enlisted to deliver Australia back-to-back World Youth Netball Championships in Glasgow with the high performance coach appointed 21/U Australian coach until 2013 today.

 

After claiming her third consecutive New Idea Australian Netball League title with Victorian Fury, Byers will lead Australia’s top underage team for the next four years, building to the World Youth Netball Championships in Scotland in three years time.

 

The announcement comes on the first day of the DealsDirect.com.au 21/U National Championships in Queensland. The Championships will be used to select the 2010/11 Australian 21/U squad, announced at the close of the tournament on Monday 4 October.

 

2010 Australian 21/U squad selectors attending the event include Cathy Fellows, Carole Sykes and AIS Coach and 21/U Assistant Coach Sue Gaudion.
