Victoria roll home favourites Queensland in thrilling battle

Day 1 results

 

Victoria and Queensland have produced the match of the day on the opening day of the DealsDirect.com.au 21/U National Netball Championships, with the Victorians knocking off the hosts in an thrilling, physical battle.

 

In what could be a finals preview, the lead changed during every quarter with the visitors able to grab the momentum in the final five minutes to score a four-goal victory.

 

In other results, New South Wales sent an ominous sign to the competition that they are on track to win their third consecutive 21/U National title with two dominant victories against South Australia and Western Australia.

 

It was a day of mixed results for SA and WA while the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania and QLD will be looking for their first win in Day 2 action tomorrow.
