U.S. water ski athletes won titles in respective events at the eighth annual Correct Craft Junior U.S. Open Water Ski Championships, June 21-22, at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio.
The event featured the women divisions (ages 17 to 21) and girls divisions (ages 16 and under). Athletes competed for titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall.
Caroline Hensley (Hixson, Tenn.), also was victorious in three events, claiming titles in girls' slalom (4 buoys at 35 feet off), jumping (124 feet) and overall (3,000.0 points). Other U.S. athletes winning titles were Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.), Alex Lauretano (Morris, Conn.) and Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.).
