Mirai Nagasu placed fourth in ladies, while Rachael Flatt came in seventh. Pairs teams Amanda Evora & Mark Ladwig, and Caydee Denney & Jeremy Barrett finished 10th and 13th, respectively.

Davis and White delivered three spectacular performances to finish less than six points back of gold medalists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada and win the second-ever U.S. Olympic ice dancing silver medal. Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto, who won that first U.S. silver medal at the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, finished just off the podium in fourth place with 203.07 points. Emily Samuelson and Evan Bates made a solid Olympic debut in Vancouver, finishing 11th in both the original and free dance segments and coming in 11th overall. Reigning World champions Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin of Russia won the bronze medal.

Nagasu put together two impressive programs in her Olympic debut to finish fourth overall with 190.15 points, 12 points behind bronze medalist Joannie Rochette of Canada. Flatt, also in her first Olympic appearance, delivered a strong short program that put her fifth going into the final segment but had two jumps downgraded in the free skate, placing her eighth in the segment and seventh overall with a 182.49-point competition mark. Yu-Na Kim of Korea grabbed the Olympic title with a world-record score of 228.56 points, while her chief rival, Mao Asada of Japan, collected the silver medal with 205.50 points.

Evora and Ladwig skated a clean short program and delivered a strong free skate performance to finish 10th overall with a 171.92 competition mark. Their training mates, Denney and Barrett, finished 14th in the short program and 12th in the free skate to move them up one spot to 13th overall with 158.33 points. Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao of China capped off their comeback season by winning gold with 216.57 points, while country mates Qing Pang and Jian Tong took the silver. Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany won the bronze medal.
