U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team to Train, Sign Autographs at Crossroads

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 28, 2008) – The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team will take part in Colorado Crossroads activities over the two-weekend event held at the Denver Convention Center.

U.S. Women’s National Training Team members Nicole Davis (Stockton, Calif.), Lauren Paolini (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Juliann Faucette (San Diego) will sign autographs between 2-4 p.m. on March 8 in conjunction with the Colorado Crossroads. The entire U.S. Women’s National Training Team will have a training session on March 15 between 10 a.m. and noon at the Denver Convention Center. An autograph session will follow the training session on March 15. Both the March 8 and March 15 autograph sessions will be at the Mizuno booth at the Denver Convention Center.

Colorado Crossroads is one of nine qualifying events for the USA Junior Olympic Girls’ Volleyball Championships. The first weekend, March 8-10, will crown winners in the 14 Open Division, along with Club Division titles for 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s. Colorado Crossroads will settle Open Division titles March 14-16 in 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s, along with the 17 and 18 Club Divisions.

The USA Junior Olympic Girls’ Volleyball Championships, an annual event going into its 29th year, attracts nearly 8,500 athletes to the event hosted by USA Volleyball. The tournament crowns 19 champions in age divisions ranging from 12 to 18. Further, the event draws not only thousands of family and friends, but hundreds of college recruiters looking for the next top players for their programs.
