ADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Hockey will formally announce the 2010 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team at a ceremony in the Best Buy® Rotunda at Mall of America® in Bloomington, Minn., on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m. CST.

"It's important we share this significant announcement in a live setting with fans of our great game," said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. "We're thrilled to be doing just that in the state of hockey at Mall of America."

The free public event will include the 21 players who will represent the United States at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C., from Feb. 12-28. Upon conclusion of the announcement ceremony, Team USA will participate in an autograph session.

Lou Nanne, former general manager and coach of the Minnesota North Stars and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame and U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, will be on hand to welcome those in attendance. Fans will also hear from Mark Johnson, head coach of the 2010 Olympic team (and also the leading scorer on the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team); Michele Amidon, general manager of the U.S. squad; and one player from the 2010 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team.
