The Texas Hustlers take on London Brawling EXCLUSIVE!

Europe's London Rollergirls take on USA's Texas Rollergirls Hustlers in the biggest roller derby event yet in A Fistful of Rollers

March 20th, 2010 – are you ready for A Fistful of Rollers? Europe's top roller derby team meet the godmothers of worldwide flat track roller derby in the first ever UK-USA derby bout. The Texas Hustlers are heading to London to give the undefeated ladies of London Brawling their toughest test yet.

The London Rollergirls (LRG) are the biggest roller derby league in Europe and have been running roughshod over any team that might get in their path. A dominant display at Roll Britannia, the first European roller derby tournament held in July 2009, left the European derby community in no doubt that no one this side of the pond can hang with LRG's all-star team, London Brawling. Until, perhaps, now...

The Texas Rollergirls (TXRG) kick-started the roller derby invasion that's taken the world of women's sport by storm. The Hustlers are one of the TXRG league's favourite home teams and they are making a special trip to try and kick some UK ass.

"London Brawling is currently miles ahead of any European team, but it'll be exciting to see how we match up against one of the top leagues in the world," said London Brawling captain Kamikaze Kitten. "It's going to be the biggest roller derby battle ever seen on this side of the Atlantic!"

Can the London Rollergirls hang on to their undefeated record and take down a team from one of the oldest and most storied leagues in modern-day roller derby, or will they finally be knocked off their perch? Keep an eye on the LRG website for more details (ticket and venue details to be announced).
