Roller Derby is back in Central New Jersey! Join us for two fast-paced action-packed events featuring the New Jersey Hellrazors women’s roller derby team as they host their first home bouts in over two years in the North Brunswick area (Kendall Park, NJ). The New Jersey Hellrazors, originally part of the New Jersey Dirty Dames Roller Derby League, one of the first leagues in New Jersey, will host two events in October: Sunday, October 2, against Central Massachusetts followed by a rematch against the Skyland Rollergirls of Hackettstown, NJ, on Sunday, October 23.
“We’ve spent the past couple of years practicing and traveling for away bouts in the tri-state area. We decided that a home game would be a great way to have our family, friends, and people in the area come out and have something fun to see and check out this great sport,” says team captain Annette Melillo (also known as “A Bomb”).
This season, the Hellrazors played guest to a number of away games including Albany, NY, Long Island, NY, Hackettstown, NJ, Lehigh Valley, and State College, PA.
These two events will be held on Sunday, October 2, and Sunday, October 23, with doors opening at 6:30 pm (whistle at 7:00pm) at the Kendall Park Roller Rink, 3550 Rt. 27, Kendall Park, NJ (just 15 minutes outside of Princeton and New Brunswick). For more information and to purchase tickets online, please visit www.brownpapertickets.com or www.njhellrazors.com. Ticket costs are $10 general admission, $12 at the door, and free for kids under age 10. Public service workers receive $2 off at the door if they show a badge. All ages are welcome. Other highlights for this event include live DJ music, merchandise, baked goods, and more.
