The Lone Star Tour is coming to Big Tyme Billiards

The new Big Tyme Billiards, located at 100 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, Texas has become the hottest new pool room to hit Texas.  The Lone Star Tour has joined forces with the room in order to showcase some of the greatest pool talent Texas has to offer, in a first class atmosphere. This spectacular room has every billiard amenity which makes it perfect for tournament competition, and on July 23rd-24th, 2011, the room will host its premier $1,200 added LSBT 9-Ball event, Live Streamed, with an Open, Amateurs, Amateur Ladies, One Pocket, and Juniors division.

This room was brought to life through a culmination of ideas and personalities.  It was the combined vision of Mark Avery, Bob McFerren, Debbie Sharp, Jim Henry and General Manager Billy Sharp that gave birth to Big Tyme Billiards.  These five people, all with different backgrounds and experience, became major players in Houston’s pool scene almost overnight.

This room is sure to be a contender for the U.S. top ten best rooms list, and rightfully so. The ground work for this room was carefully laid and attention paid to each minute detail, from the engraved wood racks and custom cue holders to the matching woodwork that frames the entire room. From the intricate build-out, to the permits and licenses, this pool room had been months in the making.  The end result was a sheer masterpiece. Hi-traffic walkways feature ceramic tile flooring while rich, wooded partitions make for an inviting yet protective barrier for the 24 pool tables that blanket the room. The east side of the space offers a 50 foot full bar loaded with everything to make your favorite drink.  The deep, chocolate colored walls, paired with dark, natural wood make for a relaxing environment after a hard day at the office. You can kick back in the lounge and watch your favorite sporting event on a flat screen television, play darts, bowling or golf games, or enter a poker tournament.  There is a little something for everyone, most of all, the pool players.

The plan for this room was carefully thought out with pool players in mind. Big Tyme’s boasts (14) 8 foot Gandy tables, (4) 9 foot tables (2 Diamonds and 2 Gold Crowns), (6) Diamond bar tables, and a 6x12 snooker table. Simonis cloth, centennial balls, custom made lights, and plenty of shooting room accompany each table. There are weekly pool tournaments, APA, and BCA leagues, and an in-House Cue Repair Shop so players can keep their equipment in tip top shape. Whether it’s competitive play or a friendly game, you can find it at Big Tyme’s.

For months the Houston pool community anticipated the opening of this room, and it was worth the wait. Their blue print has raised the bar for pool rooms across Texas and the Lone Star Tour is proud to be a part of that evolution.
