The last event on the Women’s TTR World Snowboard Tour 06/07, the TTR THREE(3)STAR Slopestyle contest, Intergirlactik, promises to showcase all-out girl power at top snowboard-friendly resort Les 7 Laux, France, 4th-8th April, 07.
Intergirlactik’s female-friendly Slopestyle park in Les 7 Laux is constructed by award-winning shaping crew, H05, and aims to reflect variation, creativity and women’s progressive snowboarding. The set-up includes 16m & 8m kickers; twin table to transfer with 12m & 10m kickers; a hut, complete with rainbow and up-flat-down rails; a hip, and a C-box. Wednesday sees the start of training with qualifications scheduled for Friday and Finals on Saturday. Over 35 invited/open riders from France and Scandinavia will compete in a knockout-style format for the last set of female TTR Ranking Points of the season.
Amongst the top snowboard women looking to win the Intergirlactik title and make a concluding difference to her position on the TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch is current World Nr 22, Lisa Filzmoser (AUT). Potentially her 5th result on the tour this season, Filzmoser (AUT) will add to her ranking points, moving her up to 19th place with a win. Pauline Ligocka (POL) TTR World Nr 24 will also add to her ranking points and could jump up into the Top 20 with a victory. Both Basa Stevulova (SVK) and Margot Rozies (FRA) can make a big impact on their current rankings with a podium result. Conny Bleicher (GER) World Nr 15, Vicci Miller (GBR) World Nr 18 and Claudia Fliri (AUT) World Nr 19 will also be present to showcase the high standard of today’s women’s riding.
Post-crowning the TTR Tour Champions, the calendar continues through to the end of April 2007. All TTR contests attended until then will provide riders with TTR Ranking Points for the 06/07 TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch to add to their overall ranking score until May 01st, 2007.
