TECHNICAL REGULATIONS, BUDGET AND THE CIRQUE DU SOLEIL


Orlando (USA) / FIG Office, May 16, 2007: From May 17 - 20, FIG Executive Committee and Council meetings will be held in Orlando, Florida. The Council has the power to legislate on modifications to the Technical Regulations. Consequently, it has received a number of proposals from both the Executive and the Federations. The 2006 accounts and 2008 budget are also up for delegate approval.

In addition, the Council will attribute the 2011 events. Various bids have been made. For the Artistic worlds, the FIG has received dossiers from Prague (CZE), Moscow (RUS), and Tokyo (JPN). For Rhythmic, Portimao (POR), Berlin (GER), and Lille (FRA) are candidates. Great Britain (Birmingham) is also a candidate for Trampoline.

At the close of discussions, Council members will be invited to attend a performance of La Nuba by the Cirque du Soleil, with whom the FIG maintains a close relationship.

REGLEMENTS, EVENEMENTS ET CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!

Orlando (USA) / FIG Office, le 16 mai 2007 : Du 17 au 20 mai, vont se succéder à Orlando les réunions du Comité Exécutif et celles du Conseil de la FIG. Cette dernière instance a notamment la compétence de légiférer en termes de modifications du Règlement Techniques. A ce titre, plusieurs propositions lui ont été soumises par l’Exécutif et les fédérations. Comptes 2006 et budget 2008 seront eux aussi soumis à l’approbation des délégués.

Le Conseil devra également attribuer les manifestations 2011. Plusieurs candidatures ont été déposées. Pour les mondiaux artistiques, la FIG a reçu les dossiers de Prague (CZE), Moscou (RUS), Tokyo (JPN) et Paris (FRA). Pour la rythmique, Portimao (POR), Berlin (GER) et Lille (FRA) sont candidates. Pour le Trampoline, la Grande Bretagne avec Birmingham est également sur les rangs.

Au terme de leurs débats, les membres du Conseil assisteront au spectacle La Nuba donné par le Cirque du Soleil, avec lequel la FIG entretient des relations privilégiées.
