On July 7th at Broadstreet RFC in Coventry England Women’s Head Coach Geoff Richards and England Women Assistant Coaches Graham Smith and Gary Street and former Wales coach Danny Wilson will lead a coaching conference.
The foursome will review the events of the successful 2006/07 international season which saw England finish second in the IRB Rugby World Cup and successfully defend their RBS 6 Nations Grand Slam crown. They will also reveal their plans for the future as well as explain how club, regional and county coaches can help them. There will also be specific workshops on position play.
Richards, who has taken charge of 61 England test matches of which England have won 51 as well as coached the team to four Six Nations Grand Slam titles and two Rugby World Cups finals, will lead a kicking clinic.
Wilson, who was also a former England Women A coach, will lead a session on hooker skills while Smith will take charge of a session on the Front Row and Street will lead a workshop on scrum-half skills.
The Team England Coaching Conference is free, but if you would like to attend please contact Kelly Rainey on Kellyrainey@rfu.com or phone 0208 831 7996 by Friday June 29th
