Synchro Canada names National Teams
May 9, 2007
Synchro Canada is pleased to announce the members who have been selected to the 2007 Pan American, National B and Junior team.
Selections for the three teams were made following team trials which were held in Victoria, B.C. this past week.
The Pan American team features a number of veteran swimmers with a mixture of youth that excites head coach Isabelle Taillon.
“it is with great pleasure that I congratulate the athletes selected for this Pan American team,” said Taillon. “This is a team with wonderful potential.”
The Pan American team will be training out of Montreal’s Centre of Excellence as of May 14th.
The National B Team, which will be competing at the Swiss Open in Zurich, was also selected this week.
The team features four returning members from last year’s team and has a number of veteran swimmers.
“The 2007 National B team is well on its way to being the strongest B team in the past decade,” said head coach Susan Kemper. “Leading a team of this caliber is every coach’s dream. It will be a definite privilege to stand with this group of athletes on a daily basis this summer and onwards toward our journey of 2008 and 2012.”
The junior team will be competing at the U.S. Open in Hawaii later this summer.
