Round 6 preview of The ANZ Netball Championships

In tonight's opening match of Round 6, the West Coast Fever host the NSW Swifts at Challenge Stadium.

When these sides met in Sydney just 10 days ago, the Fever led for the first three quarters before surrendering to an intense final quarter comeback by the Swifts. The Fever are determined to make amends for that narrow defeat when they play in front of their home crowd this evening.

Head to head: Swifts 5, Fever 2

    * The NSW Swifts have won two games in a row for the first time this season, defeating the Canterbury Tactix 54-45 in Round 5.
    * The Swifts started their two-game winning streak against the Fever in Round 4 after coming from behind to record a 55-51 victory.
    * The Fever are on a four-game losing streak including a 31-goal loss to the Melbourne Vixens last weekend (70-39).
    * The Fever lost the first ever Thursday night ANZ Championship fixture on Australian soil in Round 3 against the Adelaide Thunderbirds (72-53).
    * The NSW Swifts have won five of the seven encounters between the two teams including the previous fixture this season and both fixtures last season.
    * Fever,s Caitlin Bassett currently sits second for goals scored this season, just five goals behind Carla Borrego. Bassett has recorded 181 goals from 204 attempts at 88.7%.
