Results of the 6th Bowne Inter-Schools Sailing Festival Organised by Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club on 26th and 27th January 2008

The chilly and wet weather on 26 and 27 January 2008 has not put off the enthusiasm of 75 young sailors for competing in the 6th Bowne Inter-Schools Sailing Festival at Middle Island, the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s dinghy sailing centre. The students aged between 12 and 18 from local and international schools formed nine teams for taking part in this annual event. Results of the 2-day Festival are:-

Team Racing • Champion – Hong Kong Sea School • 1st Runner-up – King George V School • 2nd Runner-up – Island School Team B Fleet Race – Each team raced with 2 people for the around-the-island race • Champion – Shatin College / Operation Breakthrough • 1st Runner-up – Island School Team B • 2nd Runner-up – King George V School
