PREMIER FIG WORLD SERIES IN LOS ANGELES!
FIG Head Office, July 5, 2007
FIG Technical President, John Atkinson, hailing from England, will be supervising the tournament in person. The competition owes its very existence to an ANAC (Association of National Aerobic Championships) initiative, with whom the FIG entered into partnership.
Thirteen nations from 4 continents and some 60 gymnasts will be battling it out for a place on the podium in every category: Individual Men and Women, Mixed Pairs, Trios, and Groups. The bookmakers are betting on France winning a number of titles. And they might be right on track. Have a look at who's participating: Alcan, brother and sister; Joly, Chaninet, Julien. Fantastic! They'll need to watch out for the multitude of participating Koreans. But New Zealand is the outsider this time (Angela McMillan), Germany (Janka Daubner), Argentina (Jorge Fillion and Luisio Lorena).
After Los Angeles, the FIG World Series circuit will set its course for Saragossa (ESP), a new stage in its cycle, September 19 - 24, 2007. Olé!
