Porsche Grand Prix-21 players have been the world No. 1

21 players have been the world No. 1

Stuttgart. Victoria Azarenka is appearing at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix for the first time as the world No. 1. For the Belarusian, it is the 13th week she has topped the WTA rankings. Five other players that have been number one at some stage are also in the line-up in the Porsche Arena: Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark), Jelena Jankovic (Serbia), Maria Sharapova (Russia) and Ana Ivanovic (Serbia). In total, they have headed the world ranking for 127 weeks – and are therefore still far behind Steffi Graf’s 377 weeks. Up to now 21 players have been the world No. 1.
