Pentathlon-Korea wins women's fencing in Rome

The Korean team of Soo Jin Yang, Mina Jeong and Min ji Choi has narrowly won the fencing in the Women’s Relay World Championships in Rome, Italy.

"It is great being able to compete together" stated the Korean Girls. "We hope to keep this momentum going to win a medal at the end of the day."

The strong German team of Lena Schoneborn, Janie Kohlmann and Annika Schleu were just 2 victories behind the Koreans after a very strong finish with Belarus and Russia only a further victory back in a very congested leaders board.

The defending champions Hungary represented by Leila Gyenesei, Sarolta Kovacs and Krisztina Cseh have had a disappointing start to the day finishing back in 7th. However their strong swimming will pull them back up the leaders board, as will Great Britain who finished back in 8th.
