Nunez wins first Open Water Crown

Lausanne (SUI), October 15, 2007 – FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, the “Sumidero Canyon Swimming Marathon in Chiapas (MEX)”,

In the women’s field, Esther Nuñez Morera (ESP) obtained the first crown of her career, after four victories in the 2007 Grand Prix. In Mexico, she finished in second, behind the French Cathy Dietrich (first FINA victory). The third in the Mexican race was another representative of France, Aurélie Muller.

33 swimmers participated in the last race of the 2007 FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix in Mexico.
