New Zealand continue their winning streak in Sydney

New Zealand defeat Malawi 57-49

The Silver Fens survived a bit of a scare

The Ferns start the first quarter on a high converting 6 goals in the first few minutes. Great attacking play from Mes and Brown. Seeing Jodie Brown back on court is amazing, full on experience, starting playing with the Ferns back in 2002. An impressive finish to the first quarter by Malawi fighting back with Kumwenda playing well 16-13

Brown goes down in the first quarter

The Margin was three going into the second quarter and Malawi are sticking with it there not going anywhere. Sensing the SF fans are getting a bit tense out there. Some fantastic play by Malawi really keeping that pressure on the Ferns. In the last couple of minutes NZ up their game3 with Cullen playing well sextedning their lead by 6 goals 30-24

Just when you think NZ are pulling away Malawi hang in there in the third quarter winning back to back goals, NZ still maintaining a 4 goal lead.

NZ bring back their start shooter Maria Tutaia, one of the most feared shooters in Netball history.
A great attacking final quarter by The Malawi Queens. This is there highest ever scoring match against the Ferns. Great defensive work by Malawi's Vimkumbo in the circle against Mes. What an awesome final quarter from both teams guts, strenth, passion and determination. NZ showing their class in the final few minutes converting from Malawi's mistakes, final whistle NZ win by 8 goals.
