New name new home and new format for hockey's premier indoor event

 

The England Hockey Board has today announced some exciting developments ahead of the 2011 National Indoor Hockey Championships.

 

The England Hockey Board has today announced some exciting developments ahead of the 2011 National Indoor Hockey Championships.

Moving to a new home for 2011, the action packed ‘super sixes’ Finals will take place on Sunday 30 January 2011 at London’s Wembley Arena as England’s top hockey clubs battle it out to be crowned super sixes Champions.

 

super sixes is hockey’s thrilling, skillful six-a-side indoor version where goals are guaranteed in action-packed, lightning-quick, 20 minute halves.

 

In a new spectator-friendly format for the super sixes Finals, the fastest show in town, will see four thrilling matches contested by top English clubs which could boast some of the country’s Olympic hockey stars. First up, the men’s semi-finals, where the top four sides from the men’s Indoor England Hockey League will compete for a place in the super sixes final later in the day. Hot on the heels of the semis comes the first of the grand finals – the women’s super sixes final – before the last match of the day, the men’s super sixes title decider.

 

With family entertainment throughout the day and opportunities to meet top England Hockey international stars, the 2011 super sixes Finals will be a fun, affordable, action packed day out.

Ticket prices begin at £5 for under 18s and £15 for adults and go on sale on 12th November at www.ticketmaster.co.uk and via the ticket hotline on 0844 815 0815.
