New Great Slam for Chinese Divers

Lausanne, September 17, 2007

A dream team composed of nine Chinese divers (Chong He, Yue Lin, Feng Wang, Kai Qin, Liang Huo, Ruolin Chen, Jingjing Guo, Minxia Wu, Xin Wang) obtained the eight gold medals of the competition. The Chinese Diving School indeed is ready to defend its No 1 world place next year during the Olympic Games at home in Beijing.

3m springboard synchro: 1. Minxia Wu/Jingjing Guo (CHN) 352.50; 2. Anastasia Pozdyakova/Yulia Pakhalina (RUS) 327.52; 3. Sharleen Stratton/Briony Cole (AUS) 313.14

A total of US$ 480,000 have been be distributed as prize money for the FINA Diving World Series 2007, comprising US$ 96,000 per meet and US$ 192,000 after the conclusion of the three legs of the competition.
