New film promoting women's boxing for 2012

JANUARY 29 - A NEW film is being produced to help try to get women's boxing included on the programme for the 2012 Olympics.

The film project has teamed up with LetThemBox.org, a new website dedicated to getting women's boxing on the programme for 2012.

A video highlighting the campaign has been lauched on the Boxers website, along with YouTube and the LetThem Box site.

The influential President of the European Olympic Committee, Pat Hickey, has expressed his confidence that women's boxing will be included in the 2012 Olympics.

Hickey has said he is confident that the female version of the sport will be given the green light for the London Games - which would be 108 years after men's boxing debuted at the 1904 Games in St. Louis.
