Millard secures 1st Rio Gold in the Backstroke 100m S8

In the women’s 100m backstroke S8, USA’s star swimmer Jessica Long was again denied a first gold medal at Rio 2016, but managed to claim bronze, as Great Britain’s Stephanie Millward won gold with four seconds to spare and reset the Paralympic record. It caps a near two-decade effort for the 34-year-old Millward, who has multiple sclerosis. Australia's Maddison Elliot won the silver.
